About This Course

The objective is to provide you with a solid foundational understanding of Bitcoin as a digital infrastructure and to promote a responsible and informed approach to its use. You will critically reflect on your own perspectives regarding money, responsibility, and long-term decision-making, and develop the ability to communicate about Bitcoin in a well-informed, objective, and fact-based manner. In addition, the knowledge gained in this module establishes the foundation for more advanced applications, particularly in the areas of self-custody and the strategic understanding of Bitcoin within a broader financial and technological context.

Modul 1 | Bitcoin Fundamentals (BTCF)

Das Modul ist relevant für Tätigkeiten in unterschiedlichen beruflichen Kontexten, insbesondere für Unternehmer:innen und Selbstständige, Fach- und Führungskräfte in kleinen, mittleren sowie grossen Unternehmen, Mitarbeitende in IT-, Finanz-, Beratungs- und Bildungsumfeldern sowie für Personen mit Verantwortung für Vermögen, strategische Entscheidungen oder Innovationsprozesse. Bitcoin wird dabei als ökonomischer, technologischer und gesellschaftlicher Veränderungsprozess verstanden, dessen Auswirkungen sowohl auf individueller als auch auf organisatorischer Ebene von Bedeutung sind.

Modul 2 | Wallets und Self-Custody (BTCW)

Ziel des Moduls ist es, der studierenden Person ein fundiertes Grundverständnis der Funktionsweise von Bitcoin als digitale Infrastruktur zu vermitteln und sie für den verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit Bitcoin zu sensibilisieren. Die studierende Person versteht die grundlegenden Prinzipien der Bitcoin-Verwahrung, erkennt die Bedeutung von Private Keys und Self-Custody und ist in der Lage, Risiken sowie Sicherheitsaspekte sachlich einzuordnen. Das Modul schafft damit die Grundlage für weiterführende praktische Anwendungen und strategische Entscheidungen im Umgang mit Bitcoin.
